For event planners and venues
How much does wedding security cost in San Diego?
Short answer
Wedding security in San Diego typically costs $420 to $900 for two officers for six hours with MT Security & Investigations. Officers cost $35 to $75 per hour each with a four-hour minimum. Officers can wear suits instead of uniforms, and license and insurance documents are sent to your venue on request.
What wedding officers do

- Watch the gift table, the card box and the parking lot
- Handle a guest who has had too much, quietly
- Keep vendors and guests out of areas the venue has closed
- Stay until the last guests and the family have left safely
When couples book security

- A large guest count or an open, public-facing venue
- Valuable gifts or cash gifts
