Your security company keeps letting you down. Switching is easier than you think.

Empty posts. Reports that say nothing. Invoices that creep. I built this company to fix exactly those failures. Here is how to change security companies in San Diego without one uncovered hour.

  • Takeover quote in about 2 hours
  • No coverage gap
  • Free contract review

How do you switch security companies in San Diego?

Check the termination clause in your contract (usually 30 to 60 days notice), document the service failures with dates, get a written takeover quote for the same scope, and schedule the new company's first shift for the hour the old one ends. MT Security returns takeover quotes in about two hours and starts most posts within 24 to 48 hours. Call (619) 765-2222.

Six ways security companies fail their clients

Guard turnover across the industry commonly runs above 100 percent a year, and it shows up as the same six complaints.

The failure

No-shows and unfilled shifts

You pay for coverage and the post sits empty. You hear about it from a tenant.

Our fix

Every shift is logged with a time-stamped report. If an officer cannot make it, a supervisor covers the post.

The failure

Guards asleep or on their phones

A body in a chair is not security.

Our fix

Active patrol routes with logged checkpoints and unannounced supervisor checks.

The failure

Reports that protect the vendor

"All secure, no incidents" for three years straight.

Our fix

Reports written the way police write them: times, descriptions, actions taken.

The failure

Billing creep

The rate you signed is not the rate you pay.

Our fix

Published rates, a written quote, and an invoice that matches it.

The failure

A different stranger every week

Nobody learns your property.

Our fix

Officers assigned to your site.

The failure

The account manager disappears

After signing, calls go to voicemail.

Our fix

You have the owner's number.

How to switch in five steps

  1. Pull your current contract

Find the termination clause. Most require 30 to 60 days written notice. We will read it with you at no charge.

  2. Document the failures

Dates of missed shifts, photos of empty posts, invoices for hours not worked. This protects you if the vendor pushes back and tells us what to fix.

  3. Get a written takeover quote

Send your current scope and invoice. We quote the same coverage line by line, usually within two hours.

  4. Schedule the handoff

Our first shift starts when their last one ends. We collect keys, codes and access cards and rewrite the post orders with you.

  5. Judge us by the reports

From the first night you get shift reports that tell you something. Within two weeks you will know more about your property after dark than you did before.

Vendor walked off the job? Call (619) 765-2222 at any hour. Same-day emergency takeovers are often possible.

Questions about switching

Can I get out of my current security contract?

Usually. Most security contracts in San Diego have a 30 or 60 day termination clause, and repeated no-shows or unfilled shifts may count as a breach that lets you leave sooner. Find the termination section and document every failure with dates. We review takeover contracts at no charge. For a legal opinion, ask your attorney.

Will my property have a coverage gap when I switch?

No. We schedule our first shift to start the hour your current vendor's last shift ends.

How fast can MT Security take over?

Takeover quotes go out in about two hours. Most posts start within 24 to 48 hours of a signed agreement. If a vendor has abandoned the post, same-day coverage is often possible. Call (619) 765-2222.

Will switching cost more?

Often it costs the same or less. Send your current invoice and we will quote the same scope line by line from our published rates.

What should I document before ending the contract?

Missed shifts, late arrivals, incidents that never made a report, unanswered emails and invoices for hours not worked, each with a date. Photograph empty posts.

Do you take over keys, gate codes and post orders?

Yes. We collect keys, codes, access cards and emergency contacts, and we rewrite the post orders with you. Codes and locks the old vendor held should be changed, and we coordinate that on day one.
